Al Madinah is a city in western Saudi Arabia, known as the second holiest city in Islam, famous for the Prophet's Mosque with its iconic green dome. The climate is extremely hot in summer (over 104°F/40°C), so best visited between November and March when highs drop to 77°F/25°C-perfect for exploring the historic Quba Mosque and the seven mosques of the Battle of the Trench. In cooler months, you can also visit the Al-Madinah Museum or take a stroll through the date palm groves of the Al-Anbariyah district.
